Conflict of Interest
1. General Policy
International Journal Science and Technology (IJST) is committed to maintaining transparency, objectivity, and integrity in scholarly publishing. All authors, editors, and reviewers must disclose any potential conflicts of interest that could influence the research, peer-review process, or editorial decisions.
2. Conflicts of Interest for Authors
Authors must disclose any financial, professional, institutional, or personal relationships that could potentially influence the design, conduct, interpretation, or reporting of their research.
Potential conflicts include:
-
Research funding or sponsorship.
-
Employment or consultancy relationships.
-
Financial interests or intellectual property ownership.
-
Personal or professional relationships.
-
Institutional affiliations that may influence research outcomes.
If no conflicts of interest exist, authors must include the following statement:
"The authors declare no conflict of interest."
3. Conflicts of Interest for Reviewers
Reviewers must disclose any circumstances that could compromise their impartiality or independence.
Reviewers should decline an assignment or notify the editor if they have financial, personal, professional, or institutional relationships with the authors that may create a conflict of interest.
Reviewers must maintain confidentiality and provide objective, evidence-based evaluations.
4. Conflicts of Interest for Editors
Editors must make editorial decisions independently and without inappropriate influence.
Editors who have potential conflicts of interest involving a manuscript must disclose them and withdraw from handling the manuscript when necessary.
Such manuscripts should be assigned to another qualified editor to ensure fairness and impartiality.
5. Disclosure and Management
All relevant conflicts of interest must be disclosed during manuscript submission or as soon as they become known.
The editorial board will evaluate disclosed conflicts and determine appropriate measures to protect the integrity of the editorial and peer-review processes.
Failure to disclose significant conflicts of interest may result in editorial investigation, manuscript rejection, correction, or other appropriate actions.
6. Transparency and Publication Ethics
IJST follows internationally recognized principles of publication ethics, including relevant guidance from the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
The journal is committed to ensuring that potential conflicts of interest are appropriately identified, disclosed, and managed to maintain public trust in published scientific research.
