Manuscript Type
1. General Policy
International Journal Science and Technology (IJST) welcomes high-quality scholarly manuscripts that contribute to the advancement of scientific knowledge, engineering innovation, technological development, and practical applications across various disciplines of science and technology.
IJST accepts manuscripts that demonstrate originality, scientific relevance, methodological rigor, and significant contributions to their respective fields.
All submitted manuscripts must fall within the journal's aims and scope and comply with its Author Guidelines, publication ethics policies, and manuscript preparation requirements.
IJST recognizes the following four main categories of manuscripts:
-
Original Research Articles
-
Review Articles
-
Case Studies
Each manuscript type must satisfy the specific requirements described below.
2. Original Research Articles
Original Research Articles present new scientific findings derived from original research, experimental investigations, computational analyses, numerical simulations, field studies, or technological development.
These articles must provide substantial contributions to scientific understanding, engineering methodologies, technological innovation, or practical applications.
Original Research Articles may address topics such as:
-
Experimental investigations in science and engineering.
-
Computational modeling and numerical simulations.
-
Development and evaluation of engineering systems.
-
Artificial intelligence, machine learning, and data analysis.
-
Mechanical, electrical, civil, and industrial engineering applications.
-
Information systems and software engineering.
-
Technological innovation and performance optimization.
-
Interdisciplinary research involving science and technology.
Original Research Articles must present sufficient methodological information and research evidence to support the reported findings and conclusions.
3. Review Articles
Review Articles provide comprehensive, critical, and scientifically grounded analyses of existing research within a particular field of science, engineering, or technology.
These manuscripts should synthesize current knowledge, identify research trends, evaluate methodological developments, highlight unresolved scientific problems, and propose directions for future research.
IJST welcomes several approaches to literature review, including:
-
Systematic Literature Reviews (SLR).
-
Scoping Reviews.
-
Critical Literature Reviews.
-
Bibliometric Reviews.
-
Meta-Analyses, where appropriate.
Review Articles must go beyond descriptive summaries of previous publications and demonstrate critical analysis, synthesis, and meaningful scientific contributions.
4. Case Studies
Case Studies present detailed scientific investigations of specific engineering problems, technological applications, industrial systems, operational processes, or real-world implementations.
These manuscripts should provide valuable insights into practical challenges, technical solutions, system performance, technological innovations, or lessons learned from particular cases.
Case Studies may include:
-
Engineering system failures and technical investigations.
-
Industrial process optimization.
-
Implementation of information systems.
-
Evaluation of technological applications.
-
Infrastructure and construction engineering projects.
-
Mechanical and electrical system performance.
-
Manufacturing process improvements.
-
Applied scientific and technological problem-solving.
A Case Study must demonstrate clear scientific or technological relevance and provide analytical insights that extend beyond a simple description of an individual case.
