Edukasi Fisioterapi untuk Mengendalikan Emosi Remaja

Masa remaja merupakan periode transisi yang ditandai perubahan fisik, kognitif, dan psikososial yang cepat sehingga dapat meningkatkan kerentanan terhadap ketidakstabilan emosi, stres, kecemasan, dan perilaku maladaptif. Artikel pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan pelaksanaan edukasi berbasis pendekatan fisioterapi untuk mengendalikan emosi remaja di SMK Sehati Karawang. Kegiatan dilaksanakan pada 10-28 Maret 2025 pukul 10.00-11.30 WIB dan diikuti oleh 30 siswa tingkat SMA/SMK. Metode kegiatan menggunakan edukasi kesehatan partisipatif melalui tahap persiapan, pelaksanaan, diskusi, demonstrasi, praktik, dan evaluasi deskriptif. Materi edukasi meliputi perkembangan emosi remaja, hubungan ketegangan fisik dengan luapan emosi, relaksasi otot progresif, pernapasan diafragma, peregangan ringan, pelabelan emosi, dan strategi menenangkan diri. Evaluasi dilakukan melalui observasi, tanya jawab, refleksi peserta, serta penilaian kemampuan mempraktikkan teknik yang diajarkan. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa siswa antusias, aktif bertanya, dan mampu mempraktikkan teknik relaksasi serta pernapasan sederhana setelah diberikan panduan langsung. Peserta menyatakan merasa lebih tenang, nyaman, lebih percaya diri dalam mengungkapkan perasaan, dan lebih mampu menahan diri sebelum merespons tekanan. Kegiatan juga meningkatkan pemahaman guru dan orang tua mengenai pentingnya komunikasi suportif bagi kestabilan emosi remaja. Program ini menunjukkan bahwa edukasi fisioterapi sederhana dapat menjadi pendekatan berbasis sekolah yang praktis, aman, murah, dan mudah diterapkan untuk meningkatkan literasi emosi serta keterampilan regulasi diri remaja. Program lanjutan disarankan menggunakan instrumen pre-test dan post-test terstruktur agar perubahan pengetahuan dan regulasi emosi dapat diukur secara kuantitatif.
